  • How did you feel when you were nominated for homecoming court?

  • I felt nervous and excited.

  • How do you feel now that you made it onto the court?

  • I am extremely happy and excited about everything. It is such an honor to be representing not only my class, but SHS as a whole.

  • How did your family react to your nomination?

  • My mom was nervous and excited for me, and my dad was calling me everyday after school to find out if I made it, even after I told him we would find out Friday. He is now rushing to get his suit tailored. This is the most excited I have ever seen him!

  • Who will be walking you onto the field?

  • My father, Troy Grice.

  • List some of your accomplishments throughout your high school career (or what you hope to accomplish in your remaining years here).

  • I am currently student body recording secretary in student council, but I hope to be student body president next year!

  • What activities/clubs are you involved in?

  • Yearbook, Tiger Keepers, Student Council, Key club, Leo club, diamond darlings, and I am a member of the Gift of Life youth council in Beaumont.

  • If you could change one thing, anything, in the school what would it be?

  • Definitely I would want the student body to have more school spirit.

  • What would you say are some of your best qualities?

  • I think my best qualities are my friendliness and smile. I love being a happy and outgoing person!

  • What are your favorite things about SHS?

  • Even though our school spirit isn’t phenomenal, it is still very clear that we love our small town. I used to live in Livingston and there was absolutely zero school spirit then, so coming here I really appreciate that. I think that it is an amazing thing that really bonds the students and community together!
