Grade: Senior

  • How did you feel when you were nominated for homecoming court?

  • I felt very anxious and excited.

  • How do you feel now that you made it onto the court?

  • I feel extremely blessed, and thankful.

  • How did your family react to your nomination?

  • Both of my parents were happy, and proud.

  • Who will be walking you onto the field?

  • My dad, Pablo Aboytes

  • List some of your accomplishments throughout your high school career (or what you hope to accomplish in your remaining years here).

  • 4 years of varsity soccer

  • 3 years playing volleyball

  • 1 year of being part of the HOSA club

  • What activities/clubs are you involved in?

  • Soccer

  • HOSA

  • If you could change one thing, anything, in the school what would it be?

  • If i could change anything about SHS, it would be to take the building off of the hill, and to have peprallies for all the home games in every sport.

  • What would you say are some of your best qualities?

  • I consider myself humble, competitive, and passionate about anything I do.

  • What are your favorite things about SHS?

  • One of my favorite thing about SHS is the school spirit, how passionate teachers, and staff members, are about sports.

  • Why do you think you should be Homecoming queen?

  • I think I should be homecoming queen, not just to represent SHS but to mainly to represent my class, my classmates, because they are the reason why i will be walking on the field for the 4th time. I want to win the crown for c/o 2017.

  • I was ecstatic enough to jump out of my chair in band.

  • How did your family react to your nomination?

  • My dad gave me a high five.

  • Who will be walking you onto the field?

  • My father Bill Coffey.

  • List some of your accomplishments throughout your high school career (or what you hope to accomplish in your remaining years here).

  • 3rd place TMSCA State Meet in Calculator Applications, 2nd place District Calculator Applications team, A Honor Roll (14­15, 15­16 ­planning on­ 16­17), Perfect Attendance(14­15), Student Body Treasurer (16­17), Class Treasurer (14­15, 15­16), Drum Major (15­16, 16­17), Flute Section Leader (14­15), Band Secretary (14­15, 15­16, 16­17), Best Overall Drum Major (SFA Drum Major Camp), Best Conductor (SFA DM Camp), Best Marcher (SFA DM Camp), Varsity Cross Country (13­14) , Varsity Track (13­14), Graduating Distinguished Program, All Region Band since Sophomore year, and Texas State Solo and Ensemble finalist since Freshman year.

  • What activities/clubs are you involved in?

  • Band, Student Council, National Honors Society, UIL Math Team.

  • If you could change one thing, anything, in the school what would it be?

  • I would love if every student participated in any extracurricular activity or school event to promote more school spirit.

  • What would you say are some of your best qualities?

  • I am extremely outgoing and creative.

  • What are your favorite things about SHS?

  • Mrs. Willis and the many activities I am involved in.

  • Why do you think you should be Homecoming queen?

  • I am involved in numerous extracurricular activities and clubs, and I feel that as Homecoming Queen I would represent Silsbee and SHS well.
