How did you feel when you were nominated for homecoming court?
The day that they were announcing who all made homecoming court I had butterflies all day long.
How do you feel now that you made it onto the court?
When Mr. Biddle announced who all made homecoming court I didn’t even know I made it because I was in the gym at volleyball practice and couldn’t hear anything. The way I found out I was elected for homecoming court was by somebody telling me congratulations! As soon as they told me that I started freaking out and dancing!! I feel very appreciative toward my classmates that elected me to represent class of 2019.
How did your family react to your nomination?
They were very proud of me and ready to go look for dresses that day!
Who will be walking you onto the field?
My daddy!
List some of your accomplishments throughout your high school career (or what you hope to accomplish in your remaining years here).
After all of these years, this past summer, Coach Allen successfully transformed me from a turtle to a rabbit by improving my running technique! I intend to continue to make good grades, my plan is to get into the HST2 class, then pursue a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing then become a Labor and Delivery Nurse.
What activities/clubs are you involved in?
The majority of my time is spent on the volleyball court or softball field.
If you could change one thing, anything, in the school what would it be?
I would change the transition time between classes back to 5 min, I would discontinue the STARR tests and allow the teachers teach us what we actually need to know (life skills).
What would you say are some of your best qualities?
I am a Christian, I see people for who they are rather than what they are, and I do my best to help people in need.
What are your favorite things about SHS?
Lunch because I get to spend time with my friends and athletics because I get to do what love.

I felt honored!

Beyond happy!

My dad was excited to walk on the field again with me! Both my parents were proud!

I was nervous when it came down to the votes.
How do you feel now that you made it onto the court?
I'm extremely excited and curious to see how everything is going to turn out. It's such a great opportunity to be able to represent the sophomore class.
How did your family react to your nomination?
My mom was very excited for me but also cringing at the amount of money she was about to spend
Who will be walking you onto the field?
Hopefully my father if he makes it into town on time.
List some of your accomplishments throughout your high school career (or what you hope to accomplish in your remaining years here).
Last year as a freshmen I made varsity softball and we made it to playoffs. I also received an opportunity to play in a prospect softball camp. This year I made homecoming court.

Varsity softball, FCCLA,
If you could change one thing, anything, in the school what would it be?
Longer lunches and escalators instead of stairs because I'm lazy.
What would you say are some of your best qualities?
My personality, I try to be kind to anyone and everyone.
What are your favorite things about SHS?
I love how everyone is known and the school spirit we have.
