Why did you start playing volleyball?
I started playing volleyball because I was raised in a sports orientated household. Growing up, my siblings and I played any sport we could get our hands on. I started playing volleyball in 7th grade and fell in love with it.
What is your favorite part of the game?
My favorite part of the game is the competitiveness. The way the game makes your heart race. How it is only a game, but in that moment winning becomes dire.
What are some of the biggest strengths of the Tigers team? Weaknesses?
The Lady Tigers Volleyball team has many strengths. Team means family. The love and support we have for one another helps us endure. Regardless of the situation, together we can rise above it. At the same time, we are all teenage girls. Tensions can get high. Our attitude can effect the quality of our practices but we always pull together for the games.
What are your hopes for this year? How have you improved from the last season?
I have many hopes for my Tiger family this year. Winning district and advancing further is obvious. I also hope to see us grow closer as friends. We have shown much improvement from last year. Our team is stronger and more skilled.
How do you deal with injuries on the team? Does it effect team morale?
Injuries are taken very seriously on the team. Our safety comes first and everyone respects that. When we lose a player, of course the team feels the blow, but we know together we can push through it.
How do you prepare for upcoming games?
Every week we prepare for our games by practicing hard. The team often eats together and plays games to strengthen our bond. We know we have to be prepared and work together to succeed.
Who are the biggest supporters you have?
Personally, my biggest supporters are my family. My grandparents have always held high expectations while my parents accept nothing but my best. Without them driving me, I am unsure what my athletic success would be.
Who on your team (adult or not) has impacted your life? How?
It is hard to pick one particular individual, but Neeleigh Smith has by far has an affect on me. By being a part of my team, she has helped me through personal issues, kept me in line, and motivated me to do my best.
How has being on the Tiger team affected your life? What skills have you gained?
The experience as a whole has impacted my life. Being involved in this program has taught me to respect and work with others. It has also shown me nothing is handed to you. You have to work for and earn your goals.
Do you think you can make the playoffs this year?
Playoffs? Easy. The skill is there. As long as we put the team first and stay together, we got this.

Why did you start playing volleyball?
I started playing volleyball because my sister used to play and I wanted to be like her because she has a lot of fun playing the sport.
What is your favorite part of the game?
My favorite part of the game is when I get a good dig or the front row gets a good kill and everyone in the stands goes crazy and we cheer as a team in the middle of the court.
What are some of the biggest strengths of the Tigers team? Weaknesses?
Our biggest strength is working as a team and if someone messes up we are all encouraging in order to pick them up. Our biggest weakness is having a big head. When we win one to two games in a row we automatically think we have won it.
What are your hopes for this year? How have you improved from the last season?
My hopes for this year is to remain district champs and exceed the second round of playoffs. I hope we can make it to the state tournament. I have improved from last year by stepping up and being a leader and always trying to support my team.
How do you deal with injuries on the team? Does it effect team morale?
If some one on the team gets injured, it is best to support them and still treat them like if they were on the court. No player wants to be treated differently because they are hurt. When someone is injured, it does effect our team's morale for the simple fact that we are all family.
How do you prepare for upcoming games?
Preparing for a game all depends on practice. I have to work my butt off at practice to build the confidence so I know I will be fine for game day.
Who are the biggest supporters you have?
My biggest supporters are my family and my teammates. My family has always been there for me no matter what. My teammates are always picking me up and encouraging me when I mess up.

My mom impacts my life the most. She has always been to every game for the last six years and she supports me in everything I do.
How has being on the Tiger team affected your life? What skills have you gained?
Being on the Lady Tigers team has shaped me as the person I am today and why I am the way I am. These past years I have gained leadership, responsibility, and mostly friendship.
Do you think you can make the playoffs this year?
With all of the talent and teamwork, I think we can exceed playoffs and make it to the state tournament, but only if we work together and keep our heads up.
