Throwback Thursday

To kick off this throwback to the past, a poem that will make you feel the love--too much love, if you ask me.

Mine

You are so beautiful

Like a sea otter in the bay.

You are on my mind

Every second of every day.

Sometimes I follow you home,

Just to make sure you’re safe.

Some days I stalk you so much

That my legs begin to chafe;

But that’s okay

Because I love you so much.

I would do anything

Just to feel your touch.

I find everything about you amazing:

Your forehead, your nose, your eyes,

It all sends my heart ablazing.

And remember that old jacket?

The one you “lost” last year?

I keep it close to my heart.

Losing it is my deepest fear.

It still smells like you,

The greatest scent I know;

The scent of Febreeze

And pizza rolls.

I love that smell.

I could huff it all day through.

Sometimes I call you

Just to hear your voice, too.

Your Facebook is my homepage;

I refresh it all the time,

Knowing that one day your relationship status

Will say that you are mine.
