Sonnet

A sweet goodbye to summer's magical glow. Get ready for the cool chill of a Texas winter, folks.

Sonnet

How beautiful are the summer roses,

their crimson beauty in the hot, hot sun,

their warm, sweet scent coming into noses,

Who loves the summer roses? Everyone.

I wish that I could be a summer rose,

with delicate petal bathed in morning dew.

Soft, red petals would be my only clothes

as I made the world beautiful for you.

But you must remember a rose has thorns,

and it will fade away in such a few days.

Why, for a dry, wilted rose no one mourns

Because in this world, beauty never stays.

When it leaves, it finds a much better place,

A realm filled with glory, splendor, and grace.
