Be Merry Bells will be ringing. Is that not how the familiar song goes? A plea for a loved one To safely come home. But a Christmas full of blues Is not the case here. Bells proclaiming, “Be Merry!” A pleasant sound to the ear. Bells will be ringing, A resonating church toll. Families gather together To celebrate the reason for the season. A child’s bright eyes, Filled with wonder. Waiting for Santa to shout, “Be Merry!” Then drift off to slumber. Bells will be ringing, A wondrous, light hearted tune. Christmas is here. Be Merry.

Third Place: Braydon Kiser, Junior.

Christmas Make merry whilst you can, For tomorrow is another day, But today is Christmas day And we must be making merry. How would this day be celebrated If we celebrated it not? Would the heavens resound the praises Of our Lord, the swaddled babe? For it is unto us that a child is born, And for ours to cherish. Must this child wither away, Or will he be venerated, adored, and cherished.
